Press a button and the door lock releases.
Access Control –Whether it is protection for your main entrance or a specific sensitive area, CDE can help you design a system to fit your needs. With Access Control there are a few components to an access control system.
- Controller. The control panel may be a physical device, or software that runs on one of your servers. It lets you create accounts, change access rules, and view entry and exit reports.
- Automatic locks. There are two types of locks that control your doors. Electric strikes or magnetic locks can open and close on commands from the central computer that controls the system. Electric strikes are more common. Magnetic locks are better for glass or aluminum doors.
- Access device. How do you want to control access? This is the most flexible part of an access control system. It can include several types of card readers, keypads, or biometric scanners. Proximity Readers are recognized as the industry standard for physical access control. CDE represents multiple manufacturers that are robust, affordable, and seamlessly integrate with access control systems.
